Marshall Farmhouse
The renovation of an 1869 Marin County farmhouse with views on a clear day from the Pacific to the geysers in St. Helena. Unsalvageable outbuildings were replaced by a simple white-washed barn which serves as a garage, studio, and pantry, forming a wind-sheltered courtyard with the house.
The farmhouse was stripped from the inside, opened up, and reassembled keeping the original siding sanded to reveal 100 years of paint. Kitchen cabinets, mantle and shelves are fabricated from cypress felled on the site.
